Since the Televault protocol is built on top of the Emblem Vault protocol, it is dependent on the same systems that Emblem utilizes to create and secure vault NFTs. Televault also relies on privileged entities in the system such as the designated appraisers and the protocol's DAO.
Emblem is the company behind the Emblem Vault protocol and is responsible for providing the service that allows the creation and unlocking of vaults. At the moment, Emblem is one of the many key signers when a vault is created. This will change in their upcoming Emblem 2.0 system which removes Emblem as a key signer thus making the system fully non-custodial. The Emblem Vault protocol utilizes Web3Auth (previously Torus) which is a wallet service provider.
